One of my most stunning pictures I thoroughly enjoyed taking. I love how the sun is reflecting through the trees and how your eye leads you to the middle. A shot that took a lot of effort to work out but managed to create this magical moment.

These ancient and iconic pohutakawa trees line the beautiful landscape and sea alongside State Highway 2 of Waiotahi beach, near Opotiki. Everyone knows as soon as you drive through these trees you are HOME! One of my most daring and dangerous shots especially lying down in the middle of the road with the high volume of traffic constantly flowing through! A photo shoot never to repeat again!

This stunning location was found when I went for a walk in the bush in Whakatane, Bay of Plenty. I was attracted by the soothing sounds of the water that I noticed it. After numerous visits and many photo shoots I was able to achieve this. It was taken with long time exposure to create a flowing silver water stream that gave the effect of molten lava!

Iconic to Kawerau, Bay of Plenty, the spectacular Tarawera Falls — where water surges out of fissures in a large rock cliff-face surrounded by native bush. A very risky shot especially trying balance my camera tripod on the rocks with the water flowing fiercely around it.

Photo was taken in a rural area of Opotiki at a family friends farm shed. The tools on the work bench and on the wall are still being used today. Really loved the tones of colour and the natural light that came into the shed from the roof. A gem to photograph, like I said, "you are in another TIME when you walk into shed, my grandfather would know what most of these tools were used for but for me and my generations it is an era FORGOTTEN!

I was biking around when I came across this horse. The idea was for me to see if I could capture me inside the horse's eye with it creating the fish-eye lense effect. Having myself in the middle also complete the iris of the eye!
